I am currently in the midst of studying creative and subject photography with Dmitry, but I would like to note his professionalism and profound view of photography, creativity and art. The studies feel like a whole philosophy, in which it is impossible not to create. I have discovered so much interest and creative energy in myself, which I want to share with the world. I wholeheartedly recommend studying at BulkinStudio, whether it is just an interest in photography as a creative activity or a desire to make it your profession. I joined Dmitrijs Bulkins’ photography course as a complete beginner—just curious to learn the basics of still life photography. But from the very first session, it became clear: this was more than just a course. It was the beginning of a journey. It is difficult to say something specific about the school. It seems to me that those who do not leave after a month will remain in the world of photography for a long time. Or not photography, but some other creative work. It is impossible to return to “normal” life afterwards.”

The photography course at BulkinStudio unexpectedly gave me much more than I expected. I was looking to acquire technical skills to photograph my products (and, I must say, the technical side of photography is also covered in detail in the course). And I discovered a whole world in which you pay attention to yourself, to your feelings, to the movements of your soul, to objects outside and how they resonate inside, and you translate everything that moves in your inner world into visual form. I liked the non-standard approach - we talked a lot, drew, listened to music and watched films, and of course, took photographs. Classes were never limited to the walls of the photography school and the allotted class hours: the process, discussions and debates continued throughout the week. A trusting, safe, creative and open atmosphere quickly emerged at school, in which I wanted to share, discuss my work, try, make mistakes, and gain experience. If you are looking for more than just a course on camera settings and camera devices, but want to learn how to speak through photography, are looking for an environment for development and exchange, want to touch creativity and make it a part of your life, then you have come to the right place. and yes...life after the course will not be the same!

Almost a year of my online classes is coming to an end. There was a lot to cover, from the basics of composition to the more complex aspects of working with light and color. I now understand why the course is structured this way (but I won’t tell you - come and experience it for yourself). In some places, the assignments seemed strange, perhaps due to the non-standard and unexpected approaches of the teacher (who, by the way, delighted with his patient approach and caring attitude towards the students’ creativity). But this is precisely what helped me go beyond my usual thinking and experiment with new ideas. Camera specifications are now seen as a natural part of the shooting process (and perhaps the easiest). This course definitely changed my perspective on certain aspects of photography, unexpectedly made me fall in love with architecture, and gave me the opportunity to get acquainted with works of art in the film genre that might have passed me by, which would have been a big omission.

Beware! Once you embark on a creative photography course, you'll have no choice but to transform, discover unexpected facets of yourself, search, create, feel, be inspired, learn, experiment, fall in love, and be enchanted... because this course truly incites creative action!

I joined this course after reading the testimonials, and honestly, it's hard to add anything new to what's already been said about both the course and Dmitry. Everything is exactly as described.
This course truly highlights that photography is an act of creativity and art, something you can dive into regardless of your prior photographic experience. Fair warning though, there's one small side effect: during the course, you'll find yourself completely detached from your usual routine, willingly dedicating most of your free time (and sometimes even at the expense of work!) to completing assignments and related tasks.

Of course, over the academic year, we gained a tremendous amount of practical experience: we explored the inner workings of cameras, built cameras with our own hands, developed and scanned film ourselves, conducted psychological experiments (of varying degrees of humanity!) on ourselves and each other, drew, sculpted, wrote, watched films, listened to music, spoke and listened, traveled, and discovered more about ourselves. But most importantly, we learned how to feel, articulate those feelings, and convey them through photography.
It was a truly fascinating year. I learned so much, not just about photography itself, and I believe this is only the beginning. Those who say you won't be able to return to "normal" life, and won't even want to, are absolutely right.

Sometimes, if we're very lucky, fate gives us gifts: encounters with the right people at the right moment. I was lucky to meet Dmitry. On the surface, he seems so modest and quiet. But then the storm began: theory and practice, philosophy, films and music. How is this connected to photography? Do you love to photograph? Love what you do, and it will love you back. That's how one becomes a master. Dmitry is a master. And not just of photography.
